"Would recommend this hotel to anyone, it's beautiful views next to the lovely village of Limeuil is enough in itself. The food in the restaurant is excellent. My room was air conditioned and clean, bathroom spacious." (97111528)

It's location, the owners were very friendly, terrace, restaurant, bar and swimming pool, easy parking

"We were a family consisting of four adults and one 15 year old girl. This hotel is beautifully located with a view above the Dordogne, it has very fair room rates, a wonderful pool and the restaurant serves delicious food at very reasonable prices. But, I caution those with high standards to, perhaps, book elsewhere. The beds are marginal. All three in our two rooms were old and sagged. The T.V's were tiny, mounted high over head and had poor reception. The AC was not working when we checked in. We were told a technician would be coming, but, that did not happen in the four days we were there. The young couple that run the hotel could use some hotel management training. He is entirely unsuited for his position. We often heard him snarling at his wife and he was generally unpleasant. While she was friendly, she did not go out of her way to accommodate her guests. Examples - Our 15-year-old is a picky teenager eater. She would have appreciated eating one night from the children?s menu. But, that menu was for under 12's and they would not accommodate. They often served french fries. Our 15 wanted them rather than the pasta that was part of a plate she ordered. No can do. They serve yoghurt with their petite dejeuner. My wife prefers honey. We were told they did not have any, even though a plate the prior night was made with honey. I think this hotel experience would have been fine if it had just been my wife and I. But, as a group we did make some demands and they were not up to the challenge. " (97805260)

    Location, swimming pool, restaurant

Poorly maintained equipment (air conditioning), T.V. and mini-bar. Unpleasant proprietor

"We were the only guests during our stay at Les Terrasses. Nevertheless, we found the room comfortable (once we turned the heater on!) and more than sufficient for our needs. We ate breakfast on Sunday morning, served by the director, and very much enjoyed the delicious homemade breads and pastries. Limeuil is a very small village, but I believe that there were at least two restaurants open while we were there. We drove to Sarlat to eat by design but probably would have been fine eating either at the hotel restaurant (we think it was open) or in the village. We stayed on the time change weekend, and the director personally reminded us of that when we returned to the hotel on Saturday evening. All in all, we were pleased with our room, with the friendliness of the director, and with the ease in which we checked in and out. We would recommend this place and stay here again ourselves." The location. The friendliness of the hotel director. Parking on site. The delicious breakfast.

The room heater didn't extend well to the bathroom, making for a chilly bath time the next morning.
