"The staff were, as always, particularly friendly and attentive, this being partly the reason for choosing this hotel above others. We appreciate very much that they offer to speak English but are respectful of our wish to speak in French, and that they are friendly and find time to talk to their guests. Our meal was excellent and we were impressed by the enthusiasm of the management and the chef and their desire to please (which was not, I should add, overwhelming). We expressed our approval of the restaurant and explained that we consider it to be an excellent feature of the hotel, but were most concerned to learn that it is still 'on probation' and could be closed if it is not making the expected profit at the end of its first year. We would like to stress very strongly our opinion that one year is not long enough to establish a reputation and a regular clientèle. We sincerely hope that our next stay will not be disappointing as a result of its closure." (97772882)
The whole experience. The room was clean and comfortable and we noticed particularly the lack of build-up of dirt in corners, under the bed etc and in the shower room.
Nothing.

"We would have liked to have known that there was very little to do in the evenings in the surrouding close areas and if we wanted to had to drive." (97691819)
The clean rooms, fresh towels and bedding every day and the very pleasant staff.
There were no english spoken t.v. channels. (just a minor problem but would have been nice when having an eveing in!)

"Accommodation as expected based on internet reviews prior to booking; we stayed 4 nights and found it a convenient location, just out of town, and with a large supermarket complex close by. Overall very good value with very friendly, helpful and efficient staff." (97916818)
Quiet, clean, comfortable, convenient, good value, very friendly and helpful staff
Shower ran lukewarm/cold at busiest time in the morning, had to wait a while for hot water; restaurant is a good plus, but a little more variety in the menu would be appreciated for a longer stay, even the addition of items such as simple salads(e.g.tomato) as starters and omelettes as main course.

"Travelling from the direction of Rouen the hotel was easy to find. The receptionist spoke English, was very helpful, courteous and extremely friendly and although the restaurant was closed recommended three close by (including a Chinese buffet behind the Aucun which we recommend highly). The room, a triple, was well laid out, the beds reasonably comfortable, although we had to turn the heating down, and the bathroom had sufficient towels and soap and the usual continental high powered shower. There was no problem in allowing our Labrador to stay in the room overnight with us Overall a good overnight stop, very good value, especially compared to the Ibis nearby , in which I have also stayed, and throughly recommended." (97144756)
Clean and roomy
Nothing important.

"Compares very favorably with most budget chain hotels." (107202573)
Efficient and courteous service. Rooms reasonably spacious, clean and functional.
Unable to specify whether single beds or double when booking on internet. Unable to specify non-smoking room: smell of smoke initially very strong. Difficulty in finding telephone number on internet booking site. No support for showerhead.

Excellent value for money. Clean rooms, pleasant staff
vending machine for hot drinks broken (but at least in place). Thought family room would have had room divider - from description. No tea and coffee facilities in room, but have stayed at much more expensive hotels without this facility!

The staff were always friendly and accommodating. Our rooms were kept clean and tidy. The showers were lovely and hot, the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant food served was excellent. Breakfast was a very good choice
Due to the lack of guests the restaurant didn't open for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed.

"excellent value-stayed at a 2* Hotel on this 5 day trip where we all had to be subjected to tepid instant coffee plus warmed up(and burnt)french bread and croissants. The Crocus served up piping hot REAL fresh coffee and plenty of french bread and croissants.we were not amused and will be sending a message to Le Terrasse Hotel accordingly" (97070548)
super welcome from lady and very efficient.warned us it may be busy at breakfast due to 52 people in a coach also staying overnight, but no problems encountered at all.Breakfast was excellent value and the couple worked very hard keeping tables replenished.Room was very clean and comfortable.Recommend this stopover to anybody else. One thing we did not appreciate was that they now are doing demi-pension,which had we known about would have taken up.Please offer this as an alternative to just bed and breakfast

"I have no doubt whatsoever in reccomending this hotel. Its position being about 2miles outside of Dieppe meant that it was a lot quieter than staying in town, although on this occasion i travelled on foot the local bus services were more than adequate for my needs. all in all avery good experience." (97512779)
A very reasonable price of 37 euros per night for a clean and very comfortable double room (especially the mattress) en suite. A very good continental breakfast. The staff and owners were extremely helpful with a customer focused style In short nothing was to much trouble for them.

"We have stayed in many hotels across the world and have a home in France also. Dieppe is easy to access from the UK and we normally stay for a weekend or when passing through, just overnight. To have discovered this hotel is an added bonus. The management and staff - in the hotel and restaurant are so pleased to assist and help in any way makes a change from the normal hustle and bustle of commercialism. Well done and we most certainly will visit again." (97545204)
The room was spotless // the welcome genuine // the staff superb and the facility of being able to enjoy a good bottle of wine and great food and then tumble into bed just upstairs in clean sheets - fantastic ! Great facility.......

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a meal in their new restaurant which was excellent and extremely good value for money. Breakfast at 5.50 was also good value. It was a five minute drive to Dieppe centre and was in a quiet location. We would stay again if they sorted out the noisy air conditioning." (99615272)
Comfortable clean room with good facilities/shower. Cleaning bedding and towels.
The air conditioning in our friend's twin room was extremely noisy even though it was not switched on. They were advised it could not be altered. Our double room was not so noisy but there was still the sound of the hotel air conditioning.

"The receptionist was the only member of staff we saw. She was welcoming and very pleasant. She did however fail to tell us the procedure with the key in the morning. I came down expecting to hand it in at reception. Reception was not manned and a shutter was in place. Iwent out through the door expecting to find a box to place it in. there was NO box. I used the code on the key fob and went back inside. The only place I could leave it was a small room round the corner ( I hope you found it ) We then arrived at aclosed gate !!!!! I had to catch a ferry and could not remember the code from the key. Panic set in. my wife has a better memory than me and on the third attempt the gate opened. FEW!!! As my wife is fluent in french language was not the problem, we were not told. I also read all the info laid out in the room and no mention of this. This is an issue you are going to has to address before someone is locked in and misses the boat. yours faithfully Mr Peter Hood" (99819700)
It was clean and comfortable the surrounding area was quiet. It was very handy for the local amenities and the ferry port.
My sleep was desterbed because someone was constantly moving around, it could have been another guest or some staff member working. I don't know but that was a bad point

"would like to acknowledge the pleasing and helpful nature of the staff, especially the Cleaning ladies who handed in the jacket that I had overlooked and left behind in the room. I was able to collect the jacket later that day, and again the staff at Reception were most accomodating, despite our limited mutual language skills that could be shared over the telephone. warm and supportive service like that will always be remembered and we shall certainly return in future." (99317803)
very practical: functional and well designed, had good use of space
perhaps a small 'fridge and/or kettle being made available in the room would have added to the facilities on offer

"This is a budget hotel, and you should expect the accomodation and service to reflect this. The rooms are small, but do have TV, and the one we had had a very refreshing powerful shower. The beds were extremely hard, so much so that both of us had a fairly restless night. Also, whilst it may not seem far from the main town on maps, if you plan on going in to town for food or drinks you may consider driving as it is a long uphill walk back, and taxis are scarce. Breakfast is available, continental style, for a reasonable cost. You will need to get there early, because as we discovered to our cost, if the cereal bowls run out they have no others nor will they wash them up for you. That being said the croissants and coffee were fresh. All in all, the hotel reflects it's price tag, but I would not recommend it due to the beds and the breakfast isssues." (97315863)
Accesibilty, parking.
Extremely hard beds. Lack of crockery for the breakfast, even after asking for some bowls.

"We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their ability to speak English. However, in our case, that was not what we wanted and we requested to be spoken to in French. We enjoyed the conversation that took place on and off throughout the meal - in French (mainly about the menu and the new restaurant). We were NOT impressed by the hot drinks machine which took our money and gave no drinks, then served a teaspoonful of tea! However, the young employee was happy to help with the money situation. (We did not complain about the quantity). Unfortunately, the room smelled strongly of stale tobacco, despite being 'non-smoking'. This may have been due to the huge influx of workers involved in the half-yearly maintenance of the town's nuclear power station, who had taken all available rooms in Dieppe for some days. No doubt there were not enough smoking rooms available!" (97383209)

Not close to the town and the restaurant was closed the night of our visit, car required to go into the town centre.Buffet breakfast only available from 8 on a Sunday and no food available in the food dispenser for early departures. "I would advise travellers staying at the hotel to take an extra pillow if you like comfort at night as the ones provided are very small. Dont expect any english channels as there are none and if you wish to stay in the hotel at night then we advise you take a radio or cd player. It is possible to be ripped off by the taxi drivers - we payed 15 euros at 6pm to get to town and only 11 euros at 11pm for return journey! However the staff were very friendly and ordered our taxis for us which was very useful. The Grill restaurant is very nice in the local retail park and is easy to get to at night. The 'le oceane' restaurant on the sea front, we would not recommend. If you do not own a car you will struggle to get around from the hotels location but with a car it is not a problem. Overall i would recommend this hotel, it is well worth the money." (97948594)
I liked the fact the staff were very friendly and helpful. They booked a taxi for us and answered any questions we had about getting to places. The breakfast buffet was awesome!!! strongly recommend. It was nice that we were supplied with fresh towels every day and that they made the beds every day.
We thought they cleaned the bedding but were mistaken they just make the bed! The bed was a little hard when we first sat down we were a little worried but it was never an issue at night! there were not enough pillows - too low. Advice: take more!!!
