"This is a truly delightful place to stay. The staff are genuinely friendly and the location, rooms and facilities are all excellent. The family also run the nearby restaurant which again is relaxed, serves good food and has a delightfully relaxed atmosphere. We will go again and the visitor's book shows that very many guests do so as well year after year." (97692752)
The Hotel is family owned and run and very very welcoming and friendly. It is in a very beautiful location overlooking the valley and very comfortable, smart, clean and well run.

"Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others. we had a very pleasent stay and would certainly return in the future" (97658346)
The setting is fantastic, the staff friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is clean and inviting.
didnt dislike anything but the sign for the hotel as you turn into the road where the hotel is situated could be in a more prominent place as it took us quite a while to locate

"Hotel is within striking distance of Lake Como, Milan and Bergamo. Surrounding locality is very picturesque. Best of all were the Family who ran the Hotel and who made every effort to make our stay a memorable one." (97305433)
Reception areas are fitted out superbly. Views from rooms breath taking
Rooms were a little tight on space

"After several trips to Italy there is no other place I could recommend more." (99315909)
Everything! The family is so accomadating. They ran to town to pick up football tickets for my son and I when they were only available locally.

"Although the hotel is 25 km from Bergamo airport, one of the family which runs it picked us up and collected us. It was near the end of the season and the kitchen was not in operation during the week. However, the family owns a pizzeria around the cornner where we were made very welcome. Several of the family speak excellent English, and they are extremely flexible in meeting any wish. All rooms have balconies facing east from a high point down a beautuful wooded valley." (99392964)
Spectacular view - highly personal service, treated as one of the family.

"We last stayed here 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience - so much so we returned this year. The hotel is expertly run by the family and Giampiero does a magnificent job ensuring a warm welcome and enjoyable stay. The new rooms are fantastic value for money and the bar prices are kept to a very acceptable level (especially for local wine). Food is available at a very good quality / reasonable price from the (same) family owned Pizzeria in the village (100m). There is little in the immediate vicinity of the village to entertain and a car is essential to reach more populous areas. However, there are plenty of good hiking / biking trails and Giampiero will provide informative advice on these. I believe that the hotel operates a transport service to / from Bergamo airport which could make the hotel very attractive for a long relaxing weekend without the cost of a rental car but this would leave limited options re access to other areas. Breakfast on the large sun terrace is a pleasure and sometimes dinner is also served there if the weather is suitable. There is also a restaurant in the hotel but this seems to be used only at lunchtime" (97373478)
Quality of newly refurbished rooms
Lack of soundproofing in the refurbished area of the hotel gave noise problems from fire doors auto closing and noise from other guests in adjacent rooms was too easily heard

"The hotel was great, we really enjoyed our stay. Surrounding area and the views from our room were breathtaking. Food was delicious and the family were very welcoming and went out of their way to help with anything no matter how big or small. Airport transfers are recommended and can be arranged with the hotel beforehand for a very reasonable cost. We will definitely be paying another visit, hopefully soon!! :o)" (97054232)

The family who run the hotel were fantastic ! They could not have been more helpful.
Although the family are great re: lifts and supplying info, the location of the hotel and avaialble public transport means that you should really have a car to make the most of it.

"It is important to know that staying in this hotel requires a vehicle. I travel to many towns and cities and this is not on any public transportation system. I think that helps contribute to its charm. Having a vehicle offers a great chance to explore surrounding areas that are spectacular (Lake Como). I will mimic other reviews I have read about this hotel, in saying that the staff go out of their way to help make the best of your stay. Though we didn't get a chance to have dinner there, the menu looks amazing and quite affordable! Breakfast was the standard european continental breakfast taken on the terrace (an amazing view, even in the fog!) They have an internet connecion point that they were very generous with, but as I understand the hotel should have wi-fi soon." (45554281)
The family-owned atmosphere is great. It's in a beautiful loation and the family shows great care in maintaining a clean, friendly hotel.
Pillows were too hard. This is the only complaint I have.
