Very co-operative & helpful staff who provided breakfast after an early ferry trip & obliged access to the internet as well as ringing an airline to confirm an early morning flight & arranging a taxi.

    "Good." (97221723)

Lovely room (we had one of the downstairs ones). Excellent location, very easy for getting around the town and airport transfers. Some of the staff were very polite and helpful. Regarding the online booking, it was good that I printed out the confirmation as it appeared on screen because the e-mail confirmation that I was sent was blank.

There were about 5 different people taking turns on reception during our stay. Not all of them were very helpful and not all were English speaking. There was quite a lot of noise from the street at night and early morning. Shortage of hot water from the shower.

"Very handy for restaurants, bars, shopping and sight seeing." (97302791)

Excellent standard of smart accomodation in old Italian setting.

"General friendliness of the staff and extremely good location for restaurants, bars, shopping etc. Remember to ask for a key for the lift, you'll see why when you stay there!! Breakfast adequate and if you're not ok with it there are loads of cafes nearby." (97119923)

Such friendly and helpful welcome. We were allowed to go to our room hours before the actual check in time, and whilst we waited we were served coffee and yummy biscuits and one of the managers came over and gave us a run down on places to go

    Smelly bathroom

Very friendly reception; welcomed with tea and a bowl of fresh cherries. Felt as though we were staying at a friend's home, not a hotel. Lovely tastefully furnished room. Convenient location except for parking our car!

Too easy to hear street noise at night, making it difficult to get to sleep.

the style and decor of both the room and hotel plus the staff was both stylish and gracious

the front door not working resulting in 'overseas' telephone calls from outside to gain access to the hotel

"The hotel was Kitsch and welcoming, the nightcap was welcome as it was nice to chat to the owners, the lighting down the stairs and in the coridors was lovely, the only let down was lovely as the biscuits were they weren't a substantial breakfat (maybe cheese and bread?) good location! Goodluck :0)" (97351926)

The attitude of the owners and staff,

    No view, breakfast was minimal.

"Even given the negatives, we loved this place for its style, location and warmth of Nicolo, the owner (a big Buster Keaton fan and somewhat of a look-alike). If you want quiet rooms, choose those in the back away from Via Roma. The new rooms now under construction are ever more tastefully decorated and should be choice when completed. Though very simple, breakfast was wonderful. An excellent selection of loose-leaf teas and an assortment of Durke cookies and cakes were offered and served by Nicolo, who was very helpful in every way." (99536823)

Harbor view, stylish appointments, intimate room, Buster Keaton silent film in the common room.

Street noise infiltrated our room even with double-glazed windows, metal bed frame a bit noisy, no luggage stand so had to use table as only flat surface for one of two bags.

"Excellent séjour grâceau caractère de l'endroit, à la disponibilité du centre malgré le bruit de la circulation sur la via roma. L'isolation des fenêtres srait une bonne acquisition...." (99515429)

Le cadre exceptionnel, la grandeur de la chambre et son originalité en plus au centre de la ville, la qualité du personnel

    Le bruit de la circulation

Près de tous commerces et loisirs

    Un peu bruyant
