"I have travelled around the world and stayed at all types of hotels. The Tijcal 1 is without any doubt the one where I have felt most at home and, not least, most secure." (99269056)
The hostal is simple and - compared with other options in Madrid - relatively inexpensive. The rooms are kept scrupulously clean. The staff are magnificent. The hostal is so central - next door to the Plaza Mayor - that it would be worth a lot more to stay there. The rooms are small, but so what? I stayed there last summer, too, and the staff remembered me and gave me a good room. Security is tight, with round-the-clock reception and safes in all rooms. Why pay more for a guy in a top hat who hails taxis for you?
Absolutely nothing. At about midnight the Madrid authorities go around collecting the garbage, but they do the same around hotels with guys dressed in top hats.

"We were very satisfied with our stay altogether, even if we would have liked to be informed about the possibility of having breakfast in the restaurant near by. This we could only read on the menycard in our room. Everything else was as pleasant as one could wish for.We would like to stay there again some time!" (99474646)
Nice, neat and clean place, situated perfectly in the centre of the city.
The breakfast could have been some cheaper compared with what was served at the belonging restaurant closer to Sol

"l'hostal è nuovo e pulito, l'idea della colazione in camera è carina ed economica, il personale è giovanile e simpatico" (99471151)
la posizione centrale e lacera nuova e pulita.
il bagno un pò piccolo e le lenzuola erano usurate.

paiement par carte bancaire impossible le dimanche 3 décembre : la surtaxe obligatoire, même minime, et malgré la bonne volonté du permanent, est inadmissible
