    "L'albergo si trova in una buona posizione ed è facilmente raggiungibile sia via treno che via autobus. Se avete la possibilità di arrivare direttamente all'aeroporto di Lubecca è meglio, perché il biglietto del pullman da quello di Amburgo è piuttosto salato. Lubecca è certamente carina, ma due giorni di soggiorno sono più che sufficienti." (97046272)

    The room we got was recently newmade, nice bathroom and good beds and all was over my expections. The hotel was clean all the way from the lobby!! Even the breakfast was ok, with youghurt and fresh fruits. The hotel location is just side by side to the busstation and you walk in to the old town of Lubeck in 5 minutes. No disturbing of traffic by night.

    Even if the bathroom had a luxury touch, the lights above the mirror was bad for makeup because your face got into shadow

    "Being directly opposite the bus station, the Excelsior Hotel is in a great location for a short break visit to Lubeck old town, when flying into Lubeck airport. The number 6 bus takes you straight to the hotel from the airport, for just 2.15 Euros; so no need for either car hire or taxis. Despite being opposite the bus station, you cannot hear the buses inside the hotel, so the hotel is quiet. The location of the hotel is within 200 metres of the landmark Holsten Gate and old town, so everywhere in the old is with walking distance. Close enough if you shopping at the Christmas market to offload your shopping at your room and return to continue visiting the old town. We visited for two nights from England at the end of October, and found the staff very helpful. As our flight was at 17:00 on the Friday, the let us keep our case at the hotel until departure for the airport, even though we had already checked out before 11.00. Both receiptionists spoke good English, so visitors from the UK can rest assured that their needs can be taken care of at the Excelsior. A great visit at both the hotel and Lubeck" (99362813)

    The room was spotlessly clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet has lots of choice and was of very good quality

    There are a few steps between the street level and the hotel receiption, which are awkward with a heavy case. But probably the hotel staff would help, if asked.

    Great location next to central bus terminal and train station. Surprising quiet, even with windows wide open. Large, very clean room. Excellent breakfast buffet.
