    "We were very pleased with the friendly and quick check-in. It was nice after a tiring day. The room was a good size and the breakfast was quite good too. The online booking was very efficient - the only problem was that we worried when we received an automatic response rather than an email from a real person that the booking wasn't made, but it was and everything worked out perfectly."     Very little to dislike - perhaps the carpets and sheet etc could be a bit newer.

    "We booked this hotel at the last minute having decided to visit Europa Park in nearby Rust (4 km). The Heckenrose is a lovely hotel, very clean and with a cosy traditional feel. The staff are extreemly helpful and speak excellent English. We had a top floor quadruple room, with a double and two single beds which suited us very well. The village around is small and quite, and the hotel is in a good central location, although we used the resturants in nearby Herboltzheim. The breakfast was a real treat, served in the resturant, a very pretty room. We will certainly return to this hotel. A very pleasant surprise." (99621524)

    Convenient location. Good restaurant when its open
