    "generally good. a couple of bad points, i.e camp bed for older child & very expensive breakfast ( we ate brekfast out for far less)" (108060195)

    clean room, very modern, good facilities. quiet location.excellent location of hotel, within walking distance of many attractions & theatres

    breakfast not included in price. 3rd bed in room only a camp bed, a bit small for a tall 14 year old for 3 nights. not a very nice view from room window ( 5th flood courtyard view). could not book the family room on the internet, had to phone hotel.

    "Just what we had hoped it would be - efficient, friendly, clean - and we were even able to check-in three hours early! " (108024938)

    Everything was as we would have expected for the hotel's level of rating - room was surprisingly large - and everything very clean. Great position immediately behind Temple tube station on circle & district lines (very handy for travelling to Tower Hill for example). Less than 10 minutes walk from centre of Covent Garden. Quiet location too.

    Only real example we can think of is the cost of things within the hotel - bar prices and breakfast for example - but it's London, so not exactly unusual. If things were a bit more reasonably priced we would have spent money there - as it was, we simply bought 'externally' - including thw wine!

    "A wonderful stay, probably our best hotel experience in this country. The hotel is central, just metres from the underground and perfect for all the main London attractions. " (107278625)

    Excellent view and very well appointed room (free upgrade). The hotel has a lovely decor and the bars and restaurants are relaxing and welcoming. Very polite and well informed staff.

    Breakfast is expensive and not inclusive.

    "Pleasant. Stained cushions not what one expects from an hotel of this quality, but overall room, cleanliness and service were good. Views of the River Thames were exceptional." (108020530)

    Room size good, staff very helpful, first-class riverside location , in-room facilities. Reaction of staff to deal with water leak from air-con fast and effective.

    'Throw cushions' on bed slightly stained.

    the views, the terrace, the facilities

    the noise from the service lift, coffee machine did not work, breakfast staff seemed confused by our orders

    good location.

    building work was being done at the time we stayed at the hotel without any warning-very loud. mini bar and bar in the hotel was very expensive (aswell as breakfast). i know london is alot more expensive than what we are used to, but i think the hotel prices were over the top.

    "The location was superb as I attended an event held at HMS President. The room was comfortable and the relaxed atmosphere reminded my Husband and I of our honeymoon. We will revisit as often as we can afford. The flexibility of staff was appreciated, I was feeling unwell on the Saturday and was able to have a generous helping of honey and lemon juice. The customer experience was extremely positive. well done!" (97076802)

    "The situation was ideal as I was taking my elderly mother to London to see a show in the Strand and a trip on the eye. The rooms and facilities were excellent and the attentive waiting staff and reception staff could not have been more helpful." (97463625)

    Situation of hotel and river views.

    Hairdryer confined to bathroom - standing for 20 minutes trying to dry hair in a steamy bathroom is not good.

    the room and the view was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful would definately stay again and in a good position for theatre.

    The drinks were a bit expensive

    Room was 'bog standard'.

    Television broke down and various other things did not work (including 2 of the lifts at the busiest time!

    I was impressed by everything about the hotel. I had spent 3 weeks in other hotels with the UK and they did not compare to this hotel.

    That I did not find this hotel earlier.

    "Right from the start on entering the hotel by a very polite doorman to the reception everybody was very polite. The room was very clean and tidy and a good size too so we did not feel cramped, the kingsize bed was wonderfully comfortable." (99978988)

    Very clean and tidy and totally as expected. Thank you for a very pleasant stay, would highly recommend.

    The location was good. The room was a reasonable size and quiet - which we requested. Our evening meal was very good - though pricey.

    I like to use my own hairdryer - and sockets didn't align with the bedroom mirror. Evening meal expensive - though enjoyable. Room key took three attempts by staff to open our room door.
