    Friendly staff. OK location. Food (breakfast and dinner) satisfactory.

    Noise from people outside the bar downstairs. Bit expensive for what is on offer - but Edinburgh as a whole appeared over-priced.

    "Nice clean hotel. Bus lie 14 runs to Royal Mile stop." (108003572)

    Great location, easy bus access. Nice walking/bike park accross the streat. Wish we had more time to explore the park. Brief walk lead down to small river and waterfall. Food at hotel was good. Nice small bar too. Very friendly staff.

    Room was cramped, but we only used it for sleep so no big deal.

    "300 GBP waren definitiv überbezahlt, zumal das Hotel , wie bereits oben beschrieben von Fremdgästen bevölkert war.Wir hatten uns dieses Hotel wegen seines Gartens ausgesucht-nur leider konnten wir den Garten aus o-g.Gründen nicht nutzen. Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis im Restaurant stimmte garnicht. Unser Essen war nicht o.K., wie sagten das, mußten jedoch den vollen Preis zahlen, obwohl 2/3 des Essens zurück ging!!!!!!!!!!!!"     Ausblick

    Studenten bevölkerten das Hotel ( Terrasse,Schachzimmer,Bibliothek) um am Laptop ihre Arbeiten zu schreiben-wie in einer Uni-Bibliothek.

    "Found hotel value for money although when we went to residents bar in evening of our visit found it unmanned and nobody about,same when we checked out following morning had to search out member of staff in kitchen." (97929427)

    "I was happy with the accommodation and the staff were very friendly. At the time of my stay there were considereble road works on the road outside which made getting about a little tricky." (97386006)

    "The hotel provided good clean basic accommodation with easy access into the city centre. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a no frills overnight stay then this would be fine. We found the hotel expensive for what you got (£160 for B&B per night) but we were staying on a six nations rugby weekend" (97394273)

    "Thought the Hotel offered good value for money, clean and attentive staff. Breakfast might have been slightly better but having said that it really was fine. Bar shut early on Saturday night to residents due to function at the hotel which was slughtly disapointing. Other than these two very minor points an enjoyable stay and I am sure we will re-visit at some point." (97179265)

    Fantastic Staff, Free parking.

    Slight traffic noise in the mornig, if your room is to the front.
