Opening/Closing times: 16:00 - 23:30. Only 1 km from the airport terminal, Stansted Guest House offers free airport transfers from 06:00 - 10:00 and 16:00 - 23:00.

Only 3 minutes from the terminal, most rooms include free transfers (excluding Thursday), and 2 days’ free parking. See "Important Information" below for exclusions as this must be booked in advance to guarantee a space.

Located between the village of Takeley and Stansted Airport, this is the closest off-site accommodation. Set in 3 acres of mature gardens and surrounded by countryside, Stansted Guest House is ideal for an overnight stay.

Stansted Guest House is set in 3 acres of mature gardens and surrounded by open countryside, yet only 3 minutes by car, or 15 minutes by foot, from the Stansted's main terminal, making it ideal if using the airport for business or pleasure.

Despite being so close to Stansted Airport, Stansted Guest House is not under the flight path, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep, in our well appointed en-suite rooms.

Restaurants en cafés

The guest house does not offer a full continental breakfast, but instead provides a complimentary light, self-service breakfast. Breakfast is available from 03:00, and consists of white toast with a selection of jams and marmalade, cereal, orange juice, instant tea and coffee.

If breakfast is not included in the room rate, the guest house will not provide breakfast.

Stansted Guest House does not offer evening meals, but there is a pub that serves food, either a 15-minute walk (country road not lit) or a cheap taxi ride away. The pub offers traditional pub food until 21:00.

After 21:00 and on Sundays and public holidays, they sometimes have a limited menu, but it might be best to eat at the airport, as they do not guarantee to have food available.

Stansted Airport has a number of places to eat, if you prefer to eat before you reach the guest house.

• Parkeergelegenheid: Gratis openbaar parkeren is mogelijk bij het hotel zelf; reserveren is vereist.
• Extra kosten: BTW is inbegrepen. Servicekosten zijn inbegrepen. Stads-/toeristenbelasting is niet van toepassing .
• Kinderen en extra bedden: Kinderen ouder dan 8 jaar zijn welkom. Alle kinderen of volwassenen betalen 100% van het kamertarief per persoon per nacht wanneer er gebruik wordt gemaakt van de reeds aanwezige bedden. Er is geen mogelijkheid voor extra bedden in de kamer.
• Annuleringen: Bij annulering tot 7 dagen vóór de aankomstdatum wordt 25% van de totale reservering in rekening gebracht. Bij annulering daarna of indien u niet komt opdagen (no-show) wordt de totale reservering in rekening gebracht.

Belangrijke informatie

To reserve a parking space, Stansted Guest House requires the following information in advance, direct to them via email:

- Estimated time of arrival at the guest house.
- Estimated time of departure.
- Return day, if parking is required.

This is to guarantee a space for 2 days’ free parking from the morning of check-out. Please note that this is not available during the week before or after Easter weekend. It is also not available between 01 July and 31 July and on all public holiday weekends. Parking within these dates (or before your stay) costs GBP 5 per day. The guest house is unable to offer free transfers between 06:00 and 09:00 when returning to collect your car.

Free airport transfers: one evening and one morning transfer, hourly on the hour available from 16:00 to 23:00 and 06:00 to 10:00 (except Thursdays and excluding room-only rates). Outside of this, taxis cost GBP 6. The service is available in the morning only on 24 and 31 December (not available 25 and 26 December, nor 01 January).

Please collect your luggage first, then ring the guest house to book yourself onto the next available transfer, you must be able to follow simple instructions on where we will collect you. You must ring by 22:50 to catch the last transfer from the airport.

Opening Times:
Please note that this is not a 24-hour guest house. The guest house opens at 16:00 and closes at 23:30. Access cannot be gained after this time.

Payment Information:
Credit card details are taken for security purposes only. You need to pay the guest house on arrival. The guest house is not able to take Diners Club, Maestro, Switch or debit cards as security. If a debit card is provided as security then the guest house will bill the card with the total cost of the stay (plus GBP 5 handling fee) immediately upon booking.

In cases where a credit card has been provided for security, payment of outstanding balances can be made on arrival by cash (GBP or EUR) or credit/debit card. Please note that all payments via credit/debit card are subject to a GBP 5 handling fee, charged by the guest house.

If you want to charge the total cost to the card provided for security, the guest house is only able to do so if they are notified by email before your arrival.

Please note that the guest house reserve the right to charge an initial deposit of 25% of the total booking cost. This is non-refundable if cancelled, if you wish to pay in either Sterling or Euros, this will be refunded back to your card, to avoid the GBP 5 charge.

Other Policies:
The guest house is strictly non-smoking. If there is evidence of your having smoked in the guest house, your credit card will be charged with a GBP 25 cleaning fee.

Please note that the guest house is unable to accept children under 8 years of age.

Routebeschrijving

By Car:
If using satellite navigation systems, we are between postcode CM22 6PU and CM22 6PT.
- Take junction 8 off the M11 motorway (not the new airport slip road).
- Head towards Takeley on the B1256.
- After 3.2 km (2.5 miles) turn left at the traffic lights.
- Follow this road for 1.6 km (one mile). The guest house is on the left.
- If you reach a small roundabout at the entrance to the airport, you have gone too far. Go around the roundabout and come back on yourself by 800 metres (half a mile).

From the A120 from Braintree:
- Take the B1256 to Takeley.
- After 4.8 km (3 miles) turn right at the traffic lights.
- Follow this road for 1.6 km (one mile). The guest house is on the left.
- Remaining directions are the same as above.

By Foot:
You can make this journey on foot in 15 minutes (there are no paths within the airport boundary for the first 5 minutes).
Make your way downstairs to the short-stay car parks and turn right to the red car park. Walk through the red car park to the far right-hand corner, cross over the road to the mini roundabout and you will see the sign to Takeley. At the roundabout, take the exit to Takeley. At the mini-roundabout, turn right (footpaths start here). Walk for one kilometre (10 minutes). The guest house is on the right. We do not recommend that you walk with large items of luggage, as the route is along a country road that is not lit when dark.

Rooms including Airport Transfer (one evening and one morning transfer):
Between 16:00 and 23:00, and 06:00 and 10:00 (hourly on the hour, except on Thursdays). Outside of this period, taxis are available (at an additional cost).

Rooms excluding transfers:
Can be booked at GBP 2 per person each way, between the hours of 16:00 and 23:00, and 08:00 and 10:00 (hourly on the hour, except on Thursdays).

Transfers are only available only in the morning on the 24 and 31 December. No transfers are available on the 25 and 26 December, or 01 January.

Please collect your luggage first, then ring the guest house to book yourself onto the next available transfer (hourly, on the hour). You must ring at the latest 10 minutes before the next hour's transfer.

You must be able to follow the instructions on where we pick up.
